Attended an event with the Wine Society of East Tennessee that was held at T-Prime Steakhouse at Avalon Country Club. The food was outstanding. The chef is creative and the service was first rate. The dining room is quiet and elegant and there is even an outdoor patio that overlooks the golf course. If you a looking for a romantic evening out, this would be perfect. I highly recommend!

Avalon is one of the nicest courses in the area for sure. Though the course isn’t in stellar condition by any means, not for the expensive green fee at least. Scheduled tee times have also been a big congested mess some days. Nonetheless, a very fun course with great staff and members! If priced more appropriately I could see 5-Stars.

11/10/2022 Hidden Jewel, discovered by accident. Can’t believe its available to the public. As nice a course as you will find, every hole presents it’s own challenges surrounded by beautiful views and terrain. The staff was great. I hate that this course is 2 hours from home but, I most certainly will plan another trip very soon. A trip to Avalon needs to be on your bucket list!

This place is a joke. Course is good at best. Food is less than desirable. Staff is the worst I've ever seen. Play the course, but do NOT join!!! Can not wait for my membership to be over. Never have I been to a place where I am treated more rude or less important. They talk about you behind your back and don't even hide that they are. This was a great place until about a year ago. I mean, the course was rough a year ago, but the staff was a "country club staff." Now, they are just grossly rude. I recommend pretty much anywhere but Avalon.

The staff is friendly and courteous. The regulars are not. We played in 3 hours and 15 mins, in pace with a twosome in front of us. The 4 ball behind us hit into us several times and were clearly regulars by the conversation they were having with the starter. I had several conversations with them about golf etiquette early on that then devolved into me recommending an orthodontist for the next occurrence. I know that's not the club’s fault but it's the type of people I would expected at a course that clearly is under budget. The course is in the worst shape I've seen it in 20 years. The greens are mostly dirt and sand and the fairways look like they've had winter kill for 12 months straight. I know the food here is good but after the $58 for the golf, I would rather give my money to someplace I want to stay open.
