First time visit. 15-20 minute wait on a Friday night visit. Atmosphere has an old Texas vibe. Service was adequate, food was average. The Steak burger is huge; definitely a shareable item. It was good but fries were cold/bad. I would get the burger again but change out the fries. Wedge salad was good but dressing was heavy, would ask for it on the side next time. Bread was provided for free but nothing special. I would visit again but not any time soon.

We stopped in for lunch (our first visit to Alamo) on a Sunday around 12:30 pm; There was no wait and we were promptly greeted and seated. Our server was Lacie; She did a great job. We ordered a double appetizer (10 total for $20) of their bacon wrapped Bbq Shrimp and a Prime Rib and Beer Cheese sandwich (both delicious). Our meal was served with honey butter and rolls as well. I'd like to go back to try their crab soup next time! When you would like to return to a place again (when you're only in the area for 10 days), you know it's good!

Family of five stopped for dinner with the hopes of a great steak. We arrived with higher expectations than what we received. Appetizer came out with salads which they offered to comp immediately. Salads were basic bagged lettuce. Rolls and butter were delicious. Quality of steaks were grocery store grade. The order took longer to prepare as we were told that they had a chief in training. It was okay. But not what we had expected with all the hype. One member of our party ordered a strip steak but received the T bone. We were not going to wait longer for it to come out even later. They did discount his plate. The creamed spinach was very salty. Baked potatoes are very good. Alamo potatoes okay.. Maybe because it was the end of the night? Would need to go back again to see if the food and experience would be better. My pork chops were seasoned well but not juicy... Perhaps they were overcooked while waiting for the steaks. They were nice and the manager did stop at our table unannounced to apologize for the wait. I feel badly as it is difficult to get good employees.

The crab dip, crab soup, and NY Strip steak was excellent. The pork chops were cooked perfectly, very tender, but so so salty. The honey butter was excellent. The sweet & baked potatoes were so soft. It was so much to eat. Ruben, the waiter was terrific, he was very attentive, but not too bothersome. The rest of the staff was very pleasant, greeting & thanking us.

Love eating at Alamos. The steaks are always tender and easy to cut. The rolls are great and the servers are super friendly. My wife order the filet cooked medium and was super tender. I ordered the ribeye medium rare, came out medium, slightly pink. Didn’t want to send it back because they were starting to get busy. I want back off coming here, because their reputation is always better than that. The deserts are great too, but didn’t get any this trip as we were heading to Mad Dog ice cream for desert.
