Came to Oak Ridge for training and found this gem of a course. The layout and terrain made for a visually pleasing outing. Conditions were nice throughout the course, especially for the price! It would be nice if all golfers would be considerate and repair their ball marks on the greens, so I will not fault the golf course crew for the conditions on the greens. I would definitely come back to this course if I ever travel here again.
You better not be hungry and stop at its restaurant after nine holes with nine more to go. The Marshall will run you out of the dinning room. You must follow the playing order in which you were placed. I would have enjoyed my Reuben sandwich. It was better than the course.
Fairways were horrible. Not sure they can blame it on the rains over the last few days. Had 2 seniors in this group and since carts on cart paths only caused exhaustion on both individuals. Cart paths need serious repair. No doubt I'll not be playing this course anytime in the foreseeable future.
For me it was a challenging golf course for my first outing of the season, which may explain why the course was in the condition it was. When we played it was cart path only, which made it take longer and you spent more time in their carts which are good and bad, they have some nice quality of life additions to them but they are GPS tracked and governed so if you had a hill cool, you're going 5 moh, which I understand, but it was just different than what I have seen in the past.
A terrain course is how I would describe this course. A lot of hills and uneven terrain in the fairway. Playabke from all areas. Tee boxes were a little rough buy greens made up for it. The same as the fairway to rough. Love the carts and the screens with bluetooth feature was awesome helos keep the pace if you dont have a range finder. Good course overall.
