Wow, the lake is so clear and beautiful! The campground is situated right on the lake with direct access to great mountain biking/hiking trails as well as a public boat ramp. This does make for a busy campground that is hard to get reservations if you don’t do it far in advance. The campground itself is extremely well maintained if a little tired from so much use. Most campers observe the rules about keeping pets on leashes, vehicles on their own sites and quiet hours so that the camping experience is enjoyable for everyone. Bikers, boaters, swimmers and “sit on the site and watchers” all can enjoy this wonderful campground together.

Campground is beautiful, sites are well maintained and staff was available for any concerns. Most sites have beautiful view of Norris lake and we enjoyed being able to dock our boat at our campsite. My only suggestion for improvements is to update check in and out times. Check in is at 3p, check out at 1p. Checking in during the hottest part of the day made our first day unbearable, as we left the camp at 11am I noticed most were also leaving during this time. Checking in at 1p could make a tremendous difference.

Great campground! We had a very spacious site (#4) right next to the bath house, which we thought might be an issue but we weren't bothered at all. The store came in handy for extra food, ice and firewood. It was a great time and we will be going back for sure!

Perfect campground for relaxation and outdoor fun. The lake for fishing, swimming, and walking is beautiful. If you like to Mountain Bike, there are 28 miles to ride from the campground directly, about 100 feet per mile in climb, but rollers and downhills are fun. Some of the cleanest bath house facilities that I have ever seen, and a sink for dish washing is right there as well. About 30-45 minutes from Knoxville, depending on where you need to go. There are plenty more trails in the area, and Clinch River Brewery (good food and beer) nearby. Highly recommended.

I love the place but it’s went down hill. You can’t park up top anymore so it’s limited parking. The sand area for the playground is all grown up to where there’s no sand. The bathrooms had no electricity. The pavilion you couldn’t use the electric to even blow up a float! All they care about is if you pay yet they can’t provide you with a decent place to have a family outing.
