After a mediocre dinner and beer at a different place, I was eager to find a better bar in Knoxville, with my dog in tow. Then I saw the red lights of MoB. When I found out dogs were allowed INSIDE I was dumbfounded and proceeded to have a wonderful night with some nice regulars. The bartenders were really cool too! Great atmosphere and reasonable prices for good beer!

Very cool atmosphere here, would love to make my back yard a lot like! Loved the Samba Simber. Delicious nachos!

If you've seen my other reviews you know I'm not one to frivolously spray stars or gush over a place unless it actually deserves it. This place, (and Pretentious brewery a couple doors down) are the best!
This street corner is probably my favorite place in Knox now. Merchants is VERY dog and kid friendly and safe spot. Dogs allowed indoors in the bar and outside in their huge outdoor area. If it's a chill crowd and dogs are well behaved, kids and dogs off leash is acceptable (as long as it is kept low key). Dog park across the street makes this an obvious post-dog park spot.
Beer selection is excellent. People are so friendly and vibe is really chill. Highly recommend

Funky old diner serving a good selection. Wish it was easier to read beer style on menu. Enjoyed the atmosphere and location is great. Music not my style but that's minor.
