A good place to visit, didn't get a chance to hike on the nature trail. If a little bit more descriptions for this site that should be helpful.

Amazing place to visit. The cabin was really cool to walk around in, and there is a short hiking trail that goes around the woods on the property. It was a fun, easy way to experience the Smoky Mountains.

Very cool old homestead with a trail that loops from the cabin down to the creek with the old tub mill that served the early settlers who lived here.
The trail is fairly short, but I don't know that I'd call it an "easy" walk like the sign says. It is a very rocky trail and if you have very small children, or elderly or disabled folks with you, the terrain can be a bit difficult to traverse.

We loved that this cabin was right off the path. It’s beautiful rustic feel and the baby bats inside were super cute !!! You should stop and check it out for sure !!! Don’t forget to buy your parking permit it’s only 5$ at the welcome center !!!

Did not complete the entire trail, just the cabin and barn. It was a good spot to stretch our legs and just a few minute walk from the parking lot. We liked that you could go inside the buildings. Saw a bear as well.
