The Sequoyah Birthplace Museum, a property of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, promotes the understanding and appreciation of the history and culture of the Cherokee Indians in Eastern Tennessee, particularly the life and contributions of Sequoyah. The Museum collects, preserves, interprets, and exhibits objects and data that support this mission.
After exploring the Museum, we invite you to stop by and browse through our Gift Shop. We have an extensive collection of Native American arts and crafts, a wide range of books on the Cherokee Heritage, souvenirs for the folks back home, and, of course, some fun things for the kids.
