Picture it, its The mountains of east Tennessee, there is a slight haze in the !! air and the temps are reaching the upper 90's. You are in desperate need of a meeting space for 2-3 thousand of your close friends. I have the place for you!!! The Sevierville convention center is just the place. The bathrooms are plentiful, There ain't no toilet paper shortage here. My friends and I were there for a teaching conference where we greeted by a grateful and accommodating staff. The food court staff was making it rain nacho cheese like it cured cancer. The space was great the only problem was all the dance moms everywhere. There was a dance convention going on. There was glitter foundation and Karen's everywhere.

What a great facility for a statewide volleyball 🏐 tournament. The indoor water park is fun for the youth and the property is maintained very well. Pro tip: no matter where you stay on the property there are shuttles to run you around so getting around is no problem at all. Also, there are ample dining options really close to the facility and Pigeon Forge is only about 5 miles down the road. Really enjoyed this destination.

Picture it… Sicily 1924… a facility such as this was nonexistent. Was Wi-Fi a thing? Nope. Did people go to conventions? Psh… I have no idea. I’m sure Google could tell me, but it is unnecessary to know for this review. This facility is solid. Four stars for sure! The best part is that the restrooms are clean and abundant - very much appreciated! There was not a time when I had to wait for a stall. If you’ve ever been to a busy event as a woman, you know the struggle. This convention was extremely busy with two different conferences going on simultaneously. One of them was a dance competition. As you can imagine, there were plenty of sequins, eyelashes, curling irons, hairspray, and yes, dance moms. It was a total estrogen fest. Normally this would complicate the restroom situation. This time, it was just peachy. The people that run the place roped off our area so it was exclusive to people in our field. Bonus. As you can tell from the images, my colleague and I very much enjoyed the facility. We explored every nook and cranny in between sessions in which we were expanding our professional prowess. I would’ve allotted five stars, but sadly the Wi-Fi was a little suspect in certain areas. If I were an influencer I would have been bummed. (Your call here, but AM I not an influencer?? If I were consulting a magic 8 ball, it would show “all signs point to yes” based on my photo view count alone, but, I strive to remain humble and will not adopt the title just yet.) One last thing - the men’s restroom has a baby changing station. In the restrooms I was accustomed to using, the women’s was on the left. Further down the hall it was on the right. 😒 I learned about the changing platform first-hand. You’re welcome.

It was a long long walk from the front door to the ball room where the Bluegrass Festival was being held. Much to far for most of the older people who attend Bluegrass Festivals. Beautiful building but just didn't seem to work out for our festival.
