I was traveling back from Tennessee to Nc and found this place for the night. It’s not for the fancy type but I truly enjoyed it. Room was nice and loved meeting so many hikers and hearing their stories. Only thing I’d probably change even though there was an inside lock is an outside lock for the room I had. Will be back for sure next time I’m in the area.

When coming off the trail, where you've been either sleeping in a tent or shelter, it's like heaven. The resupply was great, they offer dinner and breakfast, the shower, privy, laundry, kitchen, camp fire. The atmosphere was fantastic everyone sat around the campfire shared stories and to top it off we were joined by a musician who busted out his guitar and performed For us. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Maria is a helpful owner who helped shuttle me on several occasions and even advised me on how to save money shuttling by suggesting alternate routes. David is a blast and fun to talk too he will entertain you with stories galore. Definitely recommend staying here if you have the chance to.

We stayed here one night after a week hiking the Smokies. This is quite a unique place, not for those who are looking for luxury accommodations, but definitely a good place to go while hiking the AT if you are looking for a bed and a place to re-supply. Very interesting crowd gathered around the fire at night, sharing stories and music. We had reserved a cabin and confirmed it the day of arrival, however when we got there they had given it to someone else and we had to sleep in the bunkhouse but they made it up to us. I would stay here again if hiking through.

This place is absolutely amazing. From the history to the people, this place is full of stories. Everyone I've met here has been awesome. Definitely a haven for weary travelers. You don't even have to catch a shuttle to town with all the options they have in their store. The prices are reasonable and it's relaxed enough so you can make your own experience of it. Even if you don't stay the night, I'd definitely recommend stopping by and hanging out for a bit. You won't regret it. The staff are awesome and the owner, Maria, seems to be one of the sweetest ladies I think I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Nothing but good times and good vibes.
