Great location, right down the road to pigeon forge and just enough out of the city for less traffic. Bed was hard and springy, but the rest of the room was great, with washer and dryer and full kitchenette. The kids loved the property and playgrounds. The indoor pool was a bit cold and no blow up floats were allowed so I had to hold my 10 month old the entire time.
From the beginning we had issues with the resort, from the room we reserved not being the correct room they had reserved for us when I called to reserve I reserved a condo with a fireplace and when we did early check in they had just a one bedroom condo reserved (and at that time they didn’t have any available so no resolving that issue), we found hair in our towels, and we ended up not having hot water one night. The issues were resolved to what the resort said they could do. The one bedroom condo all the rooms where clean expect the floors and around the shower and toilet area. The beds are definitely not queen size, and you feel like you are sleeping on a hard board, they provide a thin blanket and the pull out sofa mattress was super thin and the springs were coming out of it. The washer and dryer was really nice to have in the room. The indoor pool area is small and not toddler friendly. But big kid friendly! The pool floors are really rough my 2 year old scrapped her leg in the shallow pool area. The little splash area for babies is useless the water was super cold. We came during the thanksgiving time and they had the outside resort area very well decorated with Christmas lights. We could not use the fire pits due to a burn ban, and we didn’t want to spend $50 to ice skate on the small rink but it was really nice they provided that as an option. With the issues we had and the way they where handled it definitely was not worth the $280 a night so we will not be back.
Rooms are very spacious and clean. Kids love the pool. Front desk staff is very helpful and kind. And your employee Logan is a sweetheart! Always smiling and friendly and fun to chat with! See y'all next year!
The apartment we rented was very spacious and clean and looked exactly as advertised. Check in was extremely easy and we were given a schedule with daily activities on site, and coupons for discounts on local attractions. The staff checked in with us via text to make sure we were enjoying our stay, and we were able to text if we needed anything. We will definitely be back!
This was our second stay at Governors Crossing. This time we stayed during Thanksgiving. We were definitely not as impressed with the cleanliness during this stay. Upon check in we took our belongings up to our room and the room was in need of a deep clean. The chair literally looked like a sweaty man sat in it and you could still see the stain. I laugh about it now, but it was disgusting. We went down to the front desk and they did switch our rooms. The second room was a little better, but still wasn't clean. Please check the coffee maker if you do stay there because ours was full of mold. They did offer to find us another one, but I was just disgusted at this point to bother. Besides the cleanliness issues our stay was great. The activities staff was amazing, my kids loved the pool and ice skating. The lifeguards at the pool seemed attentive to what was going on. The location of this hotel is perfect. I would consider staying here again, but it would have to be a good price. Because for what we paid, our room should've been much cleaner. It wasn't just our rooms but the hallways and outside trashcans were overflowing with trash. I didn't have any issues with this during our first stay in 2022, so maybe it was a fluke or things at this hotel are going downhill. Regardless, I love reading reviews and wanted to share our experience.
