My boys enjoyed the train ride so much! We really liked that you could play with the toy train set on the trip. We did the Christmas Lantern Express so the train cars were lighted up nicely and we got to see Santa and hear a Christmas story. We drank several cups of the complimentary hot cocoa which was described as "very chocolatey" by my 7 year old. My son is already asking when we can go again.

The Three Rivers Rambler is a train ride in Knoxville, TN that boards near Neyland Stadium at the University of Tennessee. The ride we went on was a Polar Express type attraction near Christmas that included a visit from Santa and lots of hot chocolate! The look on my child's face when she accidentally ran into Santa on one of the train cars was priceless! You can move freely from one rail car to the next and there are also open rail cars so you can stand outside during the train ride. It was a lot of fun!

A fun family tradition! We have enjoyed the Christmas train ride twice now. I recommend the evening ride for a better ambiance, but any time is fun for kids. The ride is comfortable and we love the decorations of the cars. A great way to get into the holiday spirit!

Planned this for a family outing. Oldest was 81 and youngest was 21 months. Everyone enjoyed the experience. We were able to move about, there was free hot chocolate and a cookie. Santa made an appearance and there was a guest reader to read a story. The sight seeing was just ok, but the time riding the train together was great!!! The train was also nicely decorated.

This was such a positive experience, from all the interaction with friendly staff, fun decorations, photo opportunities, story time, free hot chocolate and cookies, letters to Santa, appearance of such an authentic Santa, and snow! It was a sweet family experience.
