Double booked NO refund!! Booked a cabin looking forward to a 3 day relaxing fun weekend. After driving 5 hours on a Friday, we showed up after dark to find someone else staying there. We had to get moved to 3 separate cabins over 3 nights. These cabins were not as nice as the ones we were looking forward to and having to move every day was quite a hassle. One cabin was a loft over a wedding reception- very loud and went longer than 10pm. We were grateful for a place to stay during October - their busiest season but when we requested a discount or a refund we never heard back from Brenda, Very disappointed in their customer service.
Brenda Schultz the owner of this beautiful cabin was gracious enough to allow me to do a short term rental until I buy. She’s the best, and if you & the kids are looking for something quiet, secluded, and outta the chaos of downtown, you’ll love it here!! 5/5.
Brenda is so amazing! She got us a magnificent log cabin after 9 pm on a Saturday night and personally traveled to the cabin to make sure it was ready. We arrived to an immaculate, well stocked, and tastefully decorated log home on a secluded mountainside amid a treetop bird sanctuary! The clean modern outdoor hot tub was most appreciated. Thank you so very much for your excellent hospitality. We would love to return again soon. 💖
My husband booked a mini getaway for 3 nights in the “Blue Heaven” cabin. It was just wonderful. He said he was hoping it wasn’t too rustic and ordinary for me, but it was exactly what we both needed. We unplugged for a few days! Please bring your own robes if you are planning to use the hot tub. Also, please provide your own firewood. Other than that, it was just great. We put together a puzzle by the fire and enjoyed some good, quality time together. We played music, cooked, went hot tubbing, and even ventured into Gatlinburg one night for some local food. It’s very close to everything. Lastly, I highly encourage you to make a trip to Carver’s Orchard close by. They have fresh fruits and vegetables, apples by the basketful, jams and jellies, and best of all, their restaurant. It overlooks the apple orchard and the food is simple, home cooked deliciousness. I just loved our time away from the world. We will definitely be making another trip to stay in Blue Heaven. :-)
PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING. We were more than pleased with our rental, Jon's Pond. The pictures on the website do not do this cabin justice. Please don't base your decision to rent only on the pictures on the website. It's much bigger and more updated than it seems from the images. The hot tub overlooking the creek was the perfect temperature for those cold nights, and it's hidden enough from the other cabins that you don't feel spied on at all. I do have two minor complaints that one should be aware of. The heating system is somewhat difficult to get adjusted to a comfortable temperature, and the cabin was freezing when we first arrived. After making multiple adjustments, we figured out that if the upstairs heating unit is set on about 68 and the living room ceiling fan turned on low, it will push the warm air down and heat the living area. The other very minor issue is the coffee pot. It doesn't use a regular sized round filter. It uses conical shaped ones. I would have liked to know this ahead of time. Again, this is minor, but I really need coffee in the mornings, and this was frustrating. Overall, we were extremely pleased and are looking forward to another stay. Cindee was wonderful, and she was so easy to reach with a few questions we had.
